The inaugural March for Science happened in 2017. It was a series of rallies and marches held in Washington, D.C., and more than 600 other cities across the world on Earth Day, including in Toronto. Science March is a celebration of our passion for science, and ensure that Science continues to get the funding and freedom it deserves so that we can progress.
The 2018 Science March in Toronto is happening on 14th April. The March for Science will begin at Nathan Phillips Square and end in Queen’s Park, on 14th April 2018. Click here for more details. The March will start and end with a line of speakers talking about their science journey and the issue Science faced in Canada – and around the world.
HotPopRobot marched in the Science March in 2017. This year Artash has been invited as a Speaker for Science March 2018. He will be giving a bilingual address to the science marchers at the Nathan Philips Square at 11:10 am on 14 April 2018 (Saturday) on his science journey and some of his favourite science organizations in Canada. These include the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, The Ontario Science Centre, The Royal Ontario Museum, David Dunlop Observatory, and the University of Toronto (for their planetarium shows and public lectures).
